About me
Jennifer Fernandez aka JFer is a spoken word artist, educator and writer who holds a Master of Practical Theology + creates spaces of healing for girls and woman to JUST BE. Her heart is to see women set free from the pain of their past + to allow them to feel comfortable in their own skin, in their own space. She is passionate about identity + healing because she knows what is to be hurting + lost + not having someone around you who understands.
She enjoys creating safe spaces for youth + she is committed to being the person she needed when she was younger. Forever a learner, she is working on her second Master’s in Youth Studies.
While in the middle of a pandemic, JFer launched her non-profit org, titled The Bronx Can… A creative writing + career focused mentoring organization for high school youth in the Bronx. The Bronx Can provides holistic youth development and supports self-expression all the while creating a pathway for Bronx youth to explore non-traditional career paths. Amplify BX voices, amplify their choices. Stay tuned!
